Rare Uncatalogued Gustav Stickley Tall Arm Chair.

Truly rare, extra tall Gustav Stickley large arm chair. In over 20 years specializing in original Arts and Crafts furniture, we have never seen this form in person or in print. Possibly a prototype, but more likely a custom order, it is signed with the red Gustav Stickley joiners mark decal. When we purchased the chair, it had been over-coated with a dark varnish as you can see in the close-up image of the signature which is still covered with the overcoat. We removed the overcoat, restored the finish and upholstered the chair several years ago. Other than a few dings, the worse is shown in the close-up image of the arm, the chair is in excellent and sound condition with the original bevel at the bottom of the legs.
