English Arts and Crafts revolving carved oak bookcase. Grapevine design.

A beautifully carved quarter sawed white oak revolving bookcase. England, circa 1880-1900. Professionally carved design of grapevines on both sides of the bookcase. Deeply carved vines, clusters of grapes and a snail climbing up the trunk. Excellent quarter sawed oak grain evident in the top and shelves as shown. This revolving bookcase is as practical and useful as it is beautiful. The bookcase holds many books on both sides and revolves smoothly with just a touch of the hand. Measures: 40 1/2" high x 22" wide x 12 5/8" deep.
