Custom inlaid King size solid oak bed in a green stain. Inspired by the English Arts & Crafts this custom bed design features a cut-out design in the headboard & footboard and pewter, copper, and curly maple true inlays in each slat. Green stains & dyes were used more often in England during the Arts & Crafts movement there than in the United States, though rare examples by Gustav Stickley, Stickley Brothers & Charles Limbert have come to market over the years. The stain/dye is actually applied in layered colors. The green hues change depending on the light in the room. We designed this bed for an English inspired master bedroom in an historic home in Northern California along with a pair of matching nightstands. Available in Queen, full size, or single.
